A section within the Civil Rights Division of the Department of Justice that enforces the anti-discrimination provisions of the Immigration and Nationality Act (8 U.S.C. § 1324b). This office protects U.S. citizens and employment-authorized aliens from employment discrimination based on citizenship, immigration status or national origin, with respect to hiring, firing, and recruitment or referral for a fee, and discrimination during the employment verification process.
