A formal statement in writing declaring the contents to be true and correct, which is signed by the declarant. This is different to, for example, simply making a statement in a letter. Declarations are often used where an applicant or owner is required to evidence certain facts for an extension of time request in an examination or a hearing. IP Australia has its own form which can be used for these purposes.
